Our Story
God’s Embrace began as a passion project for Colleen Simon, inspired by her desire to create a community for individuals like her daughter, Heather. At its core, this work is about changing perceptions—recognizing and celebrating the abilities of people with special needs, one cup of coffee at a time.
Our Coffee Shop
With the support of a compassionate and dedicated team, God’s Embrace is a place where individuals can discover and use their God-given talents in meaningful ways. Our coffee shop is an environment where our team is trained not only in the art of coffee making, but also in skills like cleaning and maintenance, financial literacy, and effective communication.
Our Dream
With each cup of coffee we serve, we are building toward a greater vision. God's Embrace will create a God-centered residential community campus. This physical location will offer entrepreneurial, vocational, educational, and social opportunities for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
